Kiltimagh is lucky as a small town to have a fully dedicated Theatre and Arts Centre. This facility, on which IRD has spent almost €500,000 in the last year, comprises a charming and intimate 200 seat Theatre, Lounge space which is suitable for workshops, and a large Gallery / Exhibition space. IRD is grateful to the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism for funding of almost €300,000 under the Access II programme towards the provision of such a fine facility.

The Theatre is in daily use, for workshops and exhibitions. An example of the users are:

In addition, the Exhibition space has been used to exhibit the work of local artists like Sally McKenna and to host historical exhibitions like the collection of newspaper memorabilia by Basil Burke.

District Court Sittings:

The Courts Services also rent the full facility to hold the monthly sittings of the District Court in a partnership that has existed since 2001. The arrangement suits both parties as the Court Service gets a value for money premises and the Town Hall has an income from the rental of the space which has facilitated the upkeep of the premises.

Conferences/ Meetings:

The Building is fully equipped to cater for conferences and meetings of up to 150 people. It has full lighting, audio and video facilities and sufficient Kitchen facilities to cater for teas/coffees and snacks for those attending. It also has "breakout" rooms / spaces for workshops during a conference.
