Clann Machua present "A Christmas Carol"

Clann Machua Youth Theatre will present the well known and loved Dickens Christmas story “A Christmas Carol” on Thursday December 15th @ 8pm and a Matinee on Sunday Dec 18th  @ 7pm in the Town Hall Theatre, Kiltimagh. Tickets available from The Copy Shop, Kiltimagh or on the door at €10 for adults and €5 for children.

Miserly Ebenezer Scrooge thinks Christmas is “Humbug, He then is visited by the ghost of his late business partner, who warns that three spirits will haunt him. When Scrooge sees his life through the eyes of the Christmas, past present and future he has to question his actions. But will he be encouraged to change his ways?

The group’s members range from ages 8 to 16 and include: Conor Durcan, Ella Brennan, Francisca Jones, Isaac McDonagh,  John Forde McCarthy & Mia Quigley, Molly McDonagh, Natalie Langan, Fleur Griffin, Sarah Walsh, Mikey Kearney and Shona Langan.

The show will be interspersed with songs orchestrated by Mary McNicholas and played by Siobhan Devine. Brian Durcan is set designer. Mairead Carney is production manager. Oisín Herraghty will man the lighting.  He is also a member of the youth drama organising committee along with Joan King and Seán Langan. The committee are also grateful to Mary Ellen Conlon for her encouragement . She will be reopening her Giggles theatre school in the New Year.
