Information Signs

IRD Kiltimagh Ltd. has just erected signs at various locations in the town which give an insight into the community based activities in the town and hinterland. These have been located at:

• Teach O Hora, Main St.

• Aiden St. (Adjacent to the O Hara Park).

• Sculpture Park (At the Knock Road Entrance).

• Town Hall Theatre.

The Signs are supplied by Signwest. The Poster Design has been carried out by JT Design and printing by Snap Printing. The Project has been part financed by financial assistance from Mayo North East LEADER Partnership Company. The assistance of Mayo County Council in their erection is also very much appreciated as is the role of the Kiltimagh Community Employment Group workforce who did the actual installation.

We feel that these signs are a welcome addition to the Streetscape and as well as providing some information on the area, are appropriate street furniture for the "19th Century Market Town".

A further sign showing the walking routes in the area will be erected in the Market Square shortly as part of a broader enhancement project in that area. This is as a result of the co-operation of Mayo County Council, particularly their ever enthusiastic Walking Officer, Ms. Anna Connor. More details in due course.
